On 7th of January 2010,Islamic Terrorists Struck in Egypt killing 8 Christians mostly teenager during their return home after Christmas Mass from church in Nag Hammadi

Three men in a car sprayed automatic gunfire into a crowd of christian worshippers emerging from a Coptic church after midnight Mass on 6-7 January 2010, killing 8 Coptic Christians and Fifteen individuals were wounded. The attack took place in the town of Nag Hamadi in Qena province, about 40 miles from the famous ancient ruins of Luxor.

Egyptian embraced Christianity in the first century by St Mark is estimated at 8 million people, though some Coptic sources say their number is 12 million, among Egypt's overall population of 78 million. Egyptian authorities consider that information a top secret matter.

An estimated 2 million Coptic Christians live in US, Australia, Canada, UK, France and other European countries.
Attacks against Copts in Egypt have increased in recent years due to the government's lack of prosecution of crimes against Copts by Muslims.

The climate of hatred is deeply entrenched in Egypt's mosques, the Egyptian media and the Egyptian educational system. Very seldom are killers of Copts apprehended, and when arrested, they are often released for lack of evidence, or given a very light sentence. Now people deal with each other now as Muslims or Christians, not as Egyptians. 30 years ago we Christian and Muslims in Egypt were living in peace
